Our Foundation

The Perpetual Peace Foundation is a Libyan NGO based in Benghazi, Libya, that strives to achieve peace and sustainable development by providing the necessary knowledge and tools for youth to participate effectively at local, national, and international levels.

Perpetual Peace works with a holistic approach, promoting a vision of a society in which youth participate inclusively. In addition, it fosters confidence among youth in the pursuit of a future that meets their needs.

In addition, Perpetual Peace shapes a new generation of CSOs in Libya by following a new modern governance system that meets good practices and international standards by applying the most sufficient to ensure professionalism and maintain its impact in the community.

Our Mission

Empower and involve youth in the peacebuilding process, decision-making, and sustainable development at both the domestic and international levels.

Strengthen the capacity building of the youth, expand their knowledge and equip them with the tools they need to participate effectively in promoting peace and sustainability in the community.

Raising youth awareness of the essential issues and challenges they will encounter during their participation in and work as a youth.

Working with stakeholders at different levels to develop a suitable environment for young people while ensuring their participation.

Work on the “United Nations Security Council (UNSC)” resolution “2250” of youth and “1325” of women which assists youth and women in their efforts to realize peace.

The target group in this program is young who are between 18-30 years old and they have the ability and passion to participate in peacebuilding, social cohesion, development, and youth participation, as well as, influencers youth in the city from civil society organizations, student union, sports clubs, young from private and public universities and young in the ministry of youth and scout youth.

 

Indirect
There are also several groups affected by this program in the city such as the residents of the city and the municipal council, the the civil society commission, civil society organizations, international organizations, political parties, political analysts, academics and experts, activists, and the government.

The Foundation's Activities Breakdown

⦁ Holding conferences, training courses, seminars, dialogue sessions, workshops, and forums.


⦁ Preparing awareness and educational campaigns for youth.


⦁ Organizing site-visits and youth trips.


⦁ Analyzing and publishing scientific studies, and researchers and providing recommendations to relevant authorities.


⦁ Producing audio and visual content and programs in various means of communication that focus on the importance of enhancing youth participation.


⦁ Designing weekly and monthly reports on youth issues.


⦁ Providing consultations and services to youth and private or government agencies.


⦁ Encouraging all collective or personal initiatives organized by members of the organization or others.


⦁ Participate in local and international forums and conferences and communicate with leading and influential figures locally and internationally
